The world’s authority on coins and currency - Wholly owned by the UK Government, The Royal Mint has an unbroken history of minting British coinage dating back over 1,100 years. Its large-scale production facilities occupy a constantly guarded 35-acre site in Llantrisant, South Wales and include everything from the production of coinage blanks to the striking of the finished coins.
The Royal Mint also produces memorable commemorative coin programmes, bullion and medal products, known around the world for their quality and craftsmanship. To provide a comprehensive bullion offering, The Royal Mint introduced a highly-secure on-site bullion vault storage facility and a trading website, www.royalmintbullion.com, enabling customers to buy, store and sell bullion coins at real-time prices. We have also brought to market a new way to invest in and digitally trade physical gold bullion – RMG provides a cost-effective, convenient and secure alternative to holding and trading spot gold.
